Primetimers
The purpose of the Primetimers ministry is to offer opportunities for 60+ members and guests to grow spiritually and mentally and to be engaged in fun, fellowship, and mission. Monthly luncheons, travel, mission, etc. are planned and coordinated by the Primetimers Council which meets on the second Thursday of every month. Jane Brodnax and Dewey Glasscock chair the Council in 2011. Rev. Lynn Lindsey serves as staff liaison to this ministry. All are welcome to attend the Council meetings. Monthly luncheon programs are planned for the fourth Thursday of every month except November and December. There is no meeting in November and the December luncheon is scheduled for December 8 in 2011. The cost of the catered luncheon is $8.50. Members and guests are welcome to bring sack lunches also – or just come for the programs. A wide variety of programs have been presented on all sorts of topics in the past, including the following presenters: Ginger Beebe, Craig O’Neal, Cathedral School Choristers, and Rev. Betsy Singleton, Former Congressman Vic Snyder, and their four little boys.
“Primetimers on the Go” features daytrips in or close by Little Rock and usually one overnight trip each year. A fall foliage trip to Eureka Springs was the highlight of 2010 and the group will go on an overnight retreat to the Heifer Ranch in Perryville in November of 2011.
This is a “full of life, energy, and enthusiasm” group and all are welcome to participate!
