PASTORAL PRAYER

Creator God, we pray for the peace that your holy spirit can provide for all these people we have named in this sanctuary and those we have named in our hearts.

With praise for you, we lift up the joys of this congregation.

We rejoice in the marriages of those who have been united in your church, who have made commitments to one another and to you.

We rejoice in the birth of new children and grandchildren – our children and also your children – precious gifts from you.

With hope and faith, we bring our sorrows and concerns to you.

We pray for those whose jobs and relationships are in transition.

We pray for those who have lost loved ones.

We pray for those who suffer, those in pain.

We ask that they will know your loving presence. May we provide a way for them to feel the comfort of your holy spirit today.

We ask these things in the name of the one who taught us to pray:

Our Father, who art in Heaven…………..
