PHUMC Youth from Jay
Clark, Youth Minister-
The Youth
Ministry of PHUMC has a long history of providing fulfilling mission
opportunities to its young people. This
year, we will be focusing on the idea of pilgrimage to sacred spots where we
might encounter God in a very powerful way.
Our pilgrimage will take us to New York City where we learn more about
justice and faith issues by participating in a variety of projects including
tutoring children and stocking food pantries.
In Arkansas, we will be sending three teams to Ozark Mission Project who
will go to three different rural corners of the state to build, repair and
improve the surroundings of those in need.
We anticipate
that the PHUMC Youth will log over 10,000 hours collectively towards
community service.
Harmony Health
Clinic-
Accessible, affordable health care for
uninsured and underserved individuals has emerged as perhaps the most
entrenched and complicated crisis for the public and private sectors because of
the unmet medical needs of over 45 million uninsured Americans. In response, Harmony Health Clinic has been
organized to complement other charitable efforts to address this problem by
providing free, routine, non-emergency, medical and dental services to
individuals between the ages of 18 and 64 without medical insurance (whether
private, Medicare, Medicaid, ARKids First, etc) and whose income does not
exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
Volunteer physicians, nurses, technicians and non-medical assistants
will provide services at Harmony Health Clinic. For more information contact
